What Do We Mean by Evidence?
We seek proof whenever possible: observable, reproducible, and verifiable evidence.
Ideally, this comes from multiple randomized controlled trials or well-designed systematic reviews of evidence.
In contrast, the opinions of individuals, committees, trade organizations, or belief systems do not constitute proof.
We remain skeptical of ideas that are neither provable nor disprovable.
