Leor Sapir: The Questions The NY Times Refused to Ask
Analysis of Gender Medicine
"The nice way to do this is to have medical association leaders grow a spine and say, Okay, I'm gonna get some flack from my LGBT committee. I'm gonna get some flack from some of my colleagues who make a living off of performing double mastectomies in 14 year old girls. That's just going to happen. But you know what? I'm doing it because I care about my profession. I care about public trust in medical authority at a time where trust in institutions is at an all time low. I'm doing it because I took an oath to protect and enhance the health and welfare of patients, not just my own, but all Americans. And I would be betraying my own oath and my own role as a leader in the medical field. If I continue to pretend that there's no problem here.
